An Important Feldenkrais Pelvic Clock class this week (Jan. 29 and 31)

Feldenkrais Awareness Through Movement Class this week:

Equestrians, people with balance and stability concerns, or if you have SI joint issues, low back pain, hip pain or, conversely, are a dancer, performer or athlete who wants to improve your competitive edge -- this class is for you.

The PELVIC CLOCK concept and movements are a unique discovery of Dr. Feldenkrais. Doing these carefully structured movement sequences reorganizes the connections between the spine, pelvis, hips and legs. This means that movement and communication between these parts are improved greatly.  Our natural timing, refinement of movement and all the complex aspects that play into comfortable, efficient and graceful use of our bodies are more well aligned and functionally better, in every day activities and in all the things we love to do.

The lesson begins and ends in standing; we incorporate sensing and tracking the movement of chest and pelvis in various movements by placing our hands on these bony landmarks and getting a doubly powerful input from our self sensing.  We move mindfully and slowly around the clock in special order and directions, noticing where such movement is clear and easy, and where it is not.

Remaining pelvic clock classes this week are 5:30 pm on Thurs. Jan 29 at the Reno Buddhist Center, (820 Plumas St. at Taylor in Reno) and 3 pm on Saturday Jan. 31 at Midtown Fitness (600 S. Center St., Reno).  Contact me and plan to come at least 15 mins. early to your first class.
Hope to see you!
